My First Ever Interview!

Just a note to tell ya'll that the lovely Michelle Merrill is interviewing me on her blog today! Pop over to visit her site HERE.

I am excited because I actually get to meet Michelle in person next weekend when I'm up in Portland for the Oregon SCBWI conference. We're meeting for dessert after the conference May 14. Anyone want to join us??

YOUR TURN
Have you ever been interviewed on a blog before?
Have you ever gone to a conference, and if you write for children or teens, do you belong to the SCBWI?

  1. Congratulations Carol!!! I've done guest posts before on Querytracker and Throwing Up Words and a newspaper interview, but no blog interviews as of yet. Conferences are awesome...I'm jealous you get to go to the one in Portland!

And congrats on getting an agent....you commented on my blog last week and I've been meaning to pop over here and do the same!

  2. Yay! Thanks for the shout out. Now everyone can read more about you. I really enjoyed putting your interview together. I can't wait for our meet up after the conference. It should be a lot of fun and would be awesome if anyone else joined in as well.

I have been interviewed on a blog before, but I haven't been to a conference in person. Just WriteOnCon, but it's awesome and I say it counts :)

I don't belong to SCBWI. I hope to one day soon, though!

    Thanks again Carol. :)

  6. Great interview! I'm so with you on living in the HP universe in order to be able to apparate. I'd be all over that. :P

I've been interviewed before--but it doesn't stop being disconcerting! It's tremendously fun, though, because I end up answering questions and thinking about things I wouldn't have otherwise.

I'm a total convention junkie--my love of science fiction and fantasy conventions has developed naturally into a love of writing conventions. :P

  7. That was a fantastic interview. I choose cakes, cookies and pastries over chocolate any day. :)

I've been to a couple of conferences, intensives, and a writing workshop and I also belong to SCBWI. Love conferences and wish I could attend more of them.

  13. Woohoo, congrats!

I've done a couple blog interviews before. It's fun. I've never been to a conference for writers, though. Seems interesting, but also very overwhelming, LOL!

  14. No interview for me yet! I've been to a few conferences. Oh, how I wish I could go to one in Portland! I grew up there and miss it sometimes, though as often as not I'm glad I live in a sunnier climate. ;)

  15. Congratulations on the interview! How did it go? I haven't been interviewed for a blog or gone to any writer's conferences yet. I will look into going to some now. I'm sure they're not only a great source of information, but also a place to make good contacts.

  16. I'm not a published writer, but I do hope to one day. As for conferences...nope, never been, but they sound very exciting!!

Congrats on the interview. I've been interviewed for non-writerly things. It's always a bit weird, but mega fun.

  17. Congratulations! This is a big step in a good direction.

I've never been interviewed before and I wouldn't mind being interviewed about writing and my books but maybe that day will come.

I've been to a conference for SVEA (Student Virginia Education Association) but I haven't been to a writers type of conference. It was great! It was just what I needed to know as an upcoming teacher. I would love to go to a conference for writers someday.

Additionally I do not belong to SCBWI. Never heard of it, but I might have to check it out.
